JBL Authentics 30 design and audio specifications

According to Gizmochina, the cabinet's wrapped in leatherette, JBL's Quadrex grille sits up front, and a cast aluminium handle tops it off. Gagadget calls the finishes terracotta and black, while Gizmochina lists them as earthy orange and metallic black. And at 331 x 279 x 180 mm and 4.83 kg, this isn't a grab-and-go speaker. It's built to own a shelf and move when you need it to.

Inside you've got that single 5.25-inch woofer flanked by two 1-inch tweeters. JBL claims 100W combined and a 45Hz to 20kHz response at -6dB. Bluetooth 6.0 handles wireless, which Gagadget flags as the latest spec. And you tweak EQ and sound modes in the JBL One app on your phone, according to Gizmochina and Gadgets360 (Hindi).

Battery and power

JBL rates the built-in battery at up to 8 hours per charge. Or just plug it in. It'll run off AC mains from 100 to 240V, so you don't need to touch the battery at home.

Gizmochina and Gagadget say the listing is China-only; no global or India pricing has been announced.

Price and Availability in India

According to Gizmochina, JD.com lists the Authentics 30 in China at 2,999 yuan, about $445 at current rates. Hindi Gadgets360 puts that straight conversion at roughly ₹43,000.

How It Compares to Rivals

Gizmochina and Gagadget stack the Authentics 30 against other retro JBLs sold in China. According to Gizmochina, the Authentics 30 costs 500 yuan more than the JBL Pulse 6 launched in August with an illuminated handle, and is aimed at buyers who care more about how a speaker looks in a room than how it lights up.

Specification JBL Authentics 30 JBL Authentics 200 Platinum Edition JBL Authentics 300
Price in China / US 2,999 yuan (roughly $445) 1,999 yuan $299.95 discounted price in US (list $499.95) according to Gagadget
Power 100W 90W (JBL-rated power per WaveSound) 100W (JBL-rated power per WaveSound)
Battery Up to 8 hours (JBL says) No battery, mains only Up to 8 hours (JBL says)
Weight 4.83 kg 3.12 kg 4.9 kg
Connectivity Bluetooth 6.0 Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi Wi-Fi / Bluetooth (per WaveSound)

According to Gizmochina, the Authentics 30 runs 1,000 yuan more than the Authentics 200 Platinum Edition. That premium buys you the larger shell, the battery and the handle. Gagadget points out the math gets awkward if it lands near that Chinese price in the US. A discounted Authentics 300 costs $299.95 there (list $499.95) and WaveSound's Authentics 200/300/500 comparison lists the 300 at 100W.

Who It's For

This one's for you if you want a big, handsome home speaker that can cut the cord for a few hours and still thump at 100W. It's not light. It's not tiny. But if room presence beats pocketability on your list, the Authentics 30 makes a strong case on specs alone.
