- 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo Tandem OLED, 120Hz LTPO, hits up to 12,000 nits peak brightness in the hands-on video.
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, plus seven years of OS upgrades.
- Triple camera stack led by a 200MP periscope telephoto with 100x Super Zoom Pro, alongside a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main and 50MP ultrawide.
The Motorola Signature 27 is Motorola's ultra-premium flagship play, and a hands-on video that dropped ahead of its November 5 launch spills a lot about the display, chipset and cameras. It's billed as the most advanced phone Motorola's built so far. And it's the first to use the company's new year-based numbering.
Design and What's in the Box
You've got two Pantone finishes, Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive, both with a textured back. According to GSMArena, the colors are Pantone-certified, and according to Android Authority, Motorola frames the build as aircraft-grade aluminum with ceramics.
Motorola says the shape relies on flowing contours, aerospace-grade aluminum and glass-ceramic, with a Tactical Weave finish pulled from automotive and sportswear design for that textile-like feel. Hands-on footage from YouTuber Danny Winget, reported by Gizmochina and 9to5Google, shows curved glass wrapping the display edges on both colors. There's also Audio by Bang & Olufsen tuning, which Motorola says is its first B&O sound signature on a smartphone.

Display first look
That 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo is the star of the hands-on clip. According to Gizmochina and 9to5Google, it's Tandem OLED, so two organic LED layers are stacked to push brightness and contrast. The video puts peak brightness at 12,000 nits, though GSMArena notes that's at very low coverage.
The panel is 120Hz with LTPO, no question there. Android Authority points out Apple uses the same Tandem OLED trick on the latest iPad Pro and MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR, and it helps save power while cranking brightness. On paper that's exactly what you want for outdoor visibility without killing battery.
Cameras first look
Four elements around back. Motorola says the Signature 27 was shown at the Snapdragon Summit with next-generation AI camera experiences, and its UK product page calls out the 200MP periscope telephoto for long-range detail.
According to Gizmochina, you're looking at a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main, a 200MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide, plus a dedicated action sensor that helps lock onto motion. Android Authority adds the 50MP Sony LYT-910 main supports LOFIC and the telephoto stretches to 100x zoom, which Motorola brands Super Zoom Pro with generative AI. GSMArena also reports that 100x digital zoom number and says the action sensor is there to freeze fast-moving subjects.
Performance, Cooling and Software first look
Inside it's the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, which Motorola says debuted at the Snapdragon Summit to bring on-device AI, stronger camera processing, snappier gaming and quicker downloads through six antennas.
The video unit shows 16GB RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1, but Gizmochina flags a Geekbench listing with 12GB RAM. So there'll be more than one memory config. For heat, Motorola says its ArcticMesh system uses diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a redesigned 3D vapor chamber that's 40% larger than the previous generation. The hands-on video also calls the vapor chamber 40% larger, without naming the baseline.
Software is Android 17 out of the box, and Motorola says seven years of OS upgrades are promised. That's the kind of support window that actually matters if you're spending flagship money.
Price and Availability in India

What to Watch For
Motorola has locked November 5 for the full reveal, when pricing and the rest of the spec sheet should land. If that 12,000-nit Tandem OLED and 200MP periscope deliver in the real world, this won't just be Motorola's most polished flagship, it'll be the one that finally makes you compare it to Samsung and Apple without qualifiers.
