What's New
iQOO says the G1 stretches to 211mm to cradle phones and compact tablets. Silicone pads keep your device from slipping, and you've got two magnetic grip sets in the box. The small ones keep it pocketable. The bigger ones give you that full console feel. And with those larger grips on, iQOO puts the weight at 176.5 grams.
There's no Bluetooth here at all. It’s wired USB-C, no battery inside, so it just pulls power from whatever you’ve clipped in. But you can still charge while you play, the controller has its own port for 15W pass through charging to the phone or tablet.
Key Features
The sticks and triggers are the headline. iQOO went with Hall effect joysticks, which should mean tighter accuracy and far less drift over time, and they're rated for 5 million actuations. You also get three different thumbstick caps to dial in height and grip.
Buttons feel built for fast inputs too. iQOO points to micro switch ABXY buttons and a clicky D pad, plus L4 and R4 on the shoulders you can remap. If you want to tweak dead zones, reassign those shoulders, or set up rapid fire, you'll need iQOO Game Space and Game Magic Box.
Compatibility and Software Requirements
Right now it’s a short support list. iQOO says the G1 works fully with four models on OriginOS 7 or newer, that's the iQOO 16, iQOO Neo 12, iQOO Pad Ultra, and the 8.8 inch iQOO Pad Pro. It comes in Cool Black only.
Because it’s USB-C and draws power directly, you skip pairing and charging hassles. But that full customization layer only unlocks on those four iQOO devices with the right software.
iQOO G1 Price in India and Availability
In China it’s 499 yuan (about $75) and hits shelves November 4 at 10:00 local time. India pricing and availability aren't confirmed yet.
Who It's For
If you game on a supported iQOO phone or tablet and you want wired response with sticks that won't drift in six months, this one's aimed straight at you. Outside that small device circle though, you won't get the best of it.
